Staff policy
From 2020 onwards, the company has been preparing design and working documentation for projects for the construction and reconstruction of oil and gas processing facilities. The design of facilities as part of the ethane-containing gas processing complex in the area of the Ust-Luga settlement and the Astrakhan gas processing plant is being carried out.
Numerous projects have been developed and implemented for re-equipment, modernization and renovation of existing ships, as well as projects for ship hauls and transportation of non-standard large-sized and heavy equipment on ships.
More than 40,000 units of marine machinery (capstans, windlasses, towing winches, rope storage reel, etc.) and steering engines were produced according to the documentation of AO “ECS”.
At present, AO “ECS” is a modern engineering center focused on the development of a complete set of design documentation (preliminary studies, technical projects, working design and plaza-technological documentation) for the creation of vessels of various types, purposes and classes, as well as the implementation of copyright supervision and provision of technical assistance to construction plants in the process of ship construction.
- AO “ECS” takes an active part in research and development to justify new types of ships and develop innovative technologies.
- AO “ECS” has highly qualified engineering and scientific personnel, is equipped with an automated ship design system.
- The property of AO “ECS” is also a unique scientific and technical archive.
- The quality management system adopted by AO “ECS” complies with the requirements of GOST ISO 9001-2011 (ISO 9001:2008).
- On the basis of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation No. 426-FZ "On a special assessment of working conditions", AO “ECS” conducted a special assessment of the working conditions of employees.
- 1935The history of AO Engineering Center of Shipbuilding began on August 4, 1935 when the Engineering Design Bureau of the USSR People's Commissariat of Water Transport was created by order of the People's Commissar.
- 1939In 1939, during the reorganization of the People's Commissariat of Water Transport, the Engineering Design Bureau was divided into Morsudoproekt (now Leningrad Central Engineering Design Bureau, part of the Central Research Institute of the Marine Fleet) and the Central Engineering Design Bureau of the USSR Ministry of River Fleet.
- 1988In 1988, in line with the general trend at that time of the consolidation of industrial enterprises and the concentration of scientific, design and engineering, and production potential, Scientific and Production Association Shipbuilding was created.
- 1992In 1992, in the process of privatization, Leningrad and Podporozhye experimental plants became independent enterprises, and the Central Engineering Design Bureau was transformed into OAO Engineering Center of Shipbuilding, now referred to as AO Engineering Center of Shipbuilding (AO «ECS»).
- 2020According to the projects of AO «ECS» a fountain was installed for St. Petersburg at the spit of Vasilyevsky Island on the Neva, sightseeing ships of the Fontanka and Neva types, as well as a sightseeing ship for the Saimaa Canal were built. By order of the government of St. Petersburg, the Almaz shipbuilding company built the multifunctional icebreaking tug Nevskaya Zastava.
- 2023Currently, the main activities of AO «ECS» are: design of new river and mixed «river-sea» navigation of ships, re-equipment and modernization of existing ships, development of projects for passage of ships outside the established navigation area and transportation of non-standard large-sized and heavy equipment, design of marine machinery.
