Purpose: 
icebreaking operations in areas permitted for navigation in accordance with the class of the vessel; 
provision of dredging works; 
providing engineering-geological and hydrographic research in ice conditions; 
emergency rescue duty in ice conditions.

The vessel is equipped with two US255P30FP type rudder propellers from Rolls-Royce, which are located in the stern and provide both the propulsion and maneuverability of the vessel.

For crew accommodation the following is provided: 
on the main deck there are two single cabins with individual bathrooms; 
in the hull of the vessel there are three double cabins with bunks and 1 spare single cabin.
